It all started with a love of photos.
When I visited my grandparents as a child and young adult I loved to go through their old photos.
I was dissapointed when books became more about reading, and less about images, somewhere between preschool and kindergarten.
When I began making photos my photographic perspective was in documentation. When my family moved to a different house when I was 10, I went through all the rooms and over the property and made photos of it all as it was. As to remember what it was when me moved there, and to compare to what it would one day transform to.
I want to capture progress. Whether that be the progress of a building being built, or the progress of a relationship from engagement to marriage and the couples children as they grow. Maybe the progress of a band from their first album, to their first platinum record.
Its all progress and our photographs are our purest form of documentation.
